Appalachian’s Energy Center receives $135,000 in grants to continue landfill energy project development

BOONE–Appalachian State University Energy Center’s CommunityTIES (Trash Into Energy Savings) Project has received $134,673 in grants from the Golden LEAF Foundation and the Z. Smith Reynolds Foundation to continue supporting local efforts to use landfill gas as an asset for job creation.
