April symposium celebrates Blue Ridge Parkway’s 75th anniversary

BOONE—Landscape historian Ethan Carr will be the keynote speaker at an April symposium at Appalachian State University celebrating the 75th anniversary of the Blue Ridge Parkway.
The symposium, “Imagining the Blue Ridge Parkway for the 21st Century: History, Scenery, Conservation and Community,” will be held April 22-24 in Appalachian’s Plemmons Student Union.
