BOONE—Students in Dave Haney’s class on bluegrass traditions are learning about the genre from the experts.
Haney, vice provost for undergraduate education and professor of English at Appalachian State University, is a former guitarist and lead singer with Joe Val and the New England Bluegrass Boys.
